The Krypton sits in the middle of Argon 18's road bike range, so benefits from many of the design and materials advantages of the more expensive frames, such as the exclusive, 100% carbon S3 monocoque construction, giving a fully unified feel and response that makes it perfect for high-performance riding.

Frame and Fork as One Entity.
The Krypton frame and matching KR36 forks are designed to work as a unit rather than being made seperately, and use complimentory composite fabrications to achieve excellent front end stiffness for precise and reliable handling, even at top speed.
That same stiffness is duplicated in the rear triangle to keep flex to a minimum under full power, meaning more of the energy applied to the crankset is transferred to the rear wheel.

S3 Composite Construction.
S3 enhances the inherent characteristics of monocoque construction, optimizing the desired ride qualities in each frame size without compromise by altering the tubing and construction depending on the frame size.
At the bottom bracket, downtube diameter increases by 6% from frame size XXS to XL.
The Krypton uses the same 5600 HM carbon composite as with the higher priced Gallium and Gallium Pro, with high modulus fibres to emphasize rigidity, and the fibre grade and thickness varies in different areas of the frame in order to reduce weight to a minimum.
Stiffnes is one advantage of the 5600 HM carbon formulation, while it also filters out vibration and offers superior ride comfort.
