The Merak is DeRosa's lightest frame (2.5 pounds) and made with custom Dedacciai SC 6110 tubes. The mega-size down and top tubes have ribbed reinforcements, are hydro-formed to an angular teardrop shapes and are hand TiG welded.

The fork is specially designed with carbon composite blades that are tuned to the frame geometry.
