Performance Hardtail.
Clean lines, deceptively simple structure and advanced pedalling efficiency place Giant's performance hardtails ahead on the trails.
The Arete lady's bikes are the female specific version of Giant's aclaimed XTC competition level mountain bikes.
Women's Specific Construction.
What's the difference between the men's and women's bikes?
In the case of the Arete, Giant use the same strong, light weight, fluid formed AluxX aluminium tubing as for the XTC. The difference is purely in the geometry, with the ladies benefitting from Giant's 5-Point philosophy that designs the frame and chooses the components to suit the subtle but important nuances of the female anatony.
Yes, you can ride a men's XTC perfectly well, and the ride will be great, but why do that when you can enjoy an even better fit and feel on a bike that is built to suit a female form rather than being designed around a man's?
Arete 3.
The Arete 3 is the entry level model of the range, but still comes with a very good component spec for the price.
Shimano supply Deore and SLX gearing, with Giant's own hydraulic disc brakes for quality stopping power, and the easily-adjustable Rockshox Dart 2 forks looks great in their white finish.
Good parts spec for the price combined with an excellent high speed trail and XC frame setup.
