The WR80 is an elite level racing shoe specifically aimed at female riders, with all the high spec materials and features you'd hope to find plus the option of Shimano's Thermo-form custom fit technology.
The new thermo-form shoes from Shimano are produced as normal shoes, benefitting from the quality build and feel of a high end Shimano product, with a special lining and insole that can be moulded to fit the foot exactly. This involves first the insole then the shoe being heated in a small purpose built oven and allowed to cool whilst being worn. As the shoe cools a 'pressure bag' is placed over the foot and a partial vacuum is applied to create even pressure over the entire shoe, resulting in a snug, accurate, custom fitted shoe with no wearing in period.
