Yep you can cheat.
Have it look carbon fibre but it be top class alloy. This is the same fork as the 'Ouzo Pro' except that it has a 6061 aluminium crown and steerer. Same great ride, just cheaper, 100 grammes more and with none of the installation issues that you get with neat carbon fibre.
