Quill Handlebar Stems
Quill stems are the most traditional variety of stem; used exclusively on all bikes until only 20 years ago. Now they are rarely found on any bikes at all. The stem is curved and instead of attaching to a steerer tube fits directly into the headset and screws onto the forks.
Custom Fitting
Modern day bikes come with forks with a steerer tube to which the stems known as ’ahead’ attach. We stock quill stems from Cinelli, in many different lengths to custom fit the rider’s position on the bike. To widen the choice we also stock quill adapters to allow the use of ahead stems without having to upgrade the entire fork.
