The smooth action is provided by sealed ball and needle bearings, which can be accessed and serviced if necessary, but should work very well for some time before any maintenance is required.
As with most decent platform pedals the V-Two has adjustable/replaceable pins for maximum grip, but unlike most others, these actually come with a set of 10 replacement pins included. A nice touch, resulting in a future-proof, low maintenance, high performance pedal.
