The Post Moderne suspension seatposts use the same technology found in suspension forks to absorb jolts and reduce vibration. They are designed for comfort not competition, and can be adjusted to suit your weight as well as height.

The 'Bracer' model is for off-road bikes, and available in three different seat-post diameters - 26.8mm, 27.0mm and 27.2mm. For larger diameters a shim can be used.
(The seat-post diameter should be stamped onto the existing seat-post. If this cannot be read you may need to bring the bike in for measurement.)

The total up-down travel is 50mm. Preload can be adjusted to firm or soften this travel up as required. Rider weight has to be something for the seat-post to work - Poste Moderne recommend 55 - 100 kg weight range.

Note that the seat-post cannot be inserted completely in the frame - the top 'suspension' part has to stick out proud of the frame.

The outer sleeve of the 'Bracer' is made of 7075 series aluminium, hard anodised black. This should remain scratch free if the post is not adjusted too often. The inside is polished to move freely against the low-friction, low-maintenance bushings used.

The seat clamp is made from lightweight forged alloy and designed for conventional twin-rail saddles. Two Allen key bolts secure the seat and enable the seat angle to be fine-tuned. Another Allen key bolt part-way down the post is for adjusting the side-play (there should not be any with this seat-post).
