The sport of BMX riding has been around since the late 70’s and became hugely popular in the 80’s. Many believe that this is where the sport of mountain biking originated from. However, the sport has managed to remain unique with a culture and lifestyle of its own.

A New Olympic Event

Incredibly popular but still remaining clear of the main stream, BMX has branched off into many different disciplines. Some of these skills remain in the domain of a few trend setters while other areas, such as those who race have been recognised by the Olympic committee with full status having been awarded for the next games.
