The Arte is Colnago's mid-range aluminium model, designed and created in Cambiago, Italy, but made in Taiwan to keep production costs down, and ultimately pass that saving on to the customer to bring Colnago class to a wider audience.
The Arte uses heat treated 6000 series triple butted aluminum frame tubing with top tube and down tubes in a special Colnago star section as used in the Dream Hx model, which provides more torsional frame stiffness.
Comfort on a long ride as well as stiffness for power tansfer is enhanced by the carbon fibre rear triangle with monobox 'foglia' chain stays and curved rear seat stays that improve braking power and soak up some of the road vibration.
The 2009 Arte is finished with Shimano's near-best Ultegra groupset coupled with FSA Carbon Pro cranks to ensure a smooth, satisfying classic Colnago ride.
