Bicycle messengers and track cyclists have lapped up the Bowery single speed bikes since their launch, and as a result Giant have broadened the range for the 2009 season and paid a lot of attention to the finer details.
The Bowery 72 takes the light weight aluminium road frame and gives it the full retro treatment with the classic paint job, G-Yes leather saddle, Sugino Messenger cranks and Giant's custom drop bars. Even the logos and frame badges have been changed just to give the '72 it's full-on traditional styling.
The Bowery '72 has got to be the best looking bike in the single speed range, and it's also the most versatile as it is equipped with an easy to switch 'flip-flop' rear hub so you can change from fixed to freewheel to cover the widest range of riding and suit the widest range of riders.
Two brakes, one brake, no brakes. Fixie or freewheel.
A classic singlespeed made high performance with modern technology.
