Commuting Helmets
Manufacturers such as Bell are now producing cycle helmets specifically designed for use if you commute to work. These are normal safety helmets but include special features such as an in-built mirror in the visor so the rider can see traffic coming from behind without having to turn the head. This helps the rider avoid swerving into busy roads.
Convenient Accessories
Many also come with added accessories to help weather proof the helmet. Rain covers designed to fit a particular helmet or so called ’winter kits’ fit inside the helmet and plug some of the air vents.
