Whether glasses or goggles, cycling eyewear is an essential bit of kit for whatever kind of cycling you are doing. Along with providing that little bit of style, they perform the vital task of protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays as well as wind and dirt. Protection Against Impact & UV Rays
These days most cycling glasses are made of some form of polycarbonate; a non shatter material which is essential as they will be close to your eyes and may be required to withstand impacts.
