Car Bicycle Carriers
Available in many different forms, bicycle carriers are designed to transport your bike from one place to another simply and safely without damaging your car or the cycle. The first type of bicycle racks are those that attach to the rear of your car, with the bikes strapped into horizontal racks. These carriers come in different sizes designed to fit 2, 3 or 4 bikes.
Attaching The Rack
Bicycle racks attach to the vehicle in a number of different ways. Some clamp to either end of the boot lid and fix securely, while others use tow bars or tow balls to fit to the car. The second types of carrier are those that attach to roof bars and carry your bike upright on the top of the car. These are very easy to use and quick to attach the bike to. You can either attach clamps to the down tube or remove the front wheel, clamping the forks into locked skewers and securing the rear with a strap.

Manufacturers have also produced some racks designed to work inside estate cars and vans to carry your bike securely inside.
