MTB Cassettes

MTB cassettes from Shimano and SRAM are available in all gear ratios, for every type of riding and at all price points. Models range from11-30 to 11-34 as well as all the ratios in between. Cassettes come in seven, eight or nine speeds (referring to the amount of cogs on the cassette) with most manufactures moving their groupsets to a nine speed system. Be sure to order the correct speed cassette for the ultimate compatibility. Removing Cassettes The cassettes can easily be removed with a tool in order to change the gear ratio to suit different kinds of terrain, or to simply replace it. We always recommended that when changing the chain you ensure that the gears work properly and don’t slip.
