Touring + Hybrid Rims

Touring Wheel Rims come in two main sizes 26" and 700c which is determined by the size of bike you are using. Rims also come with diferent hole or spoke numbers and widths. If you are carrying alot of weight it is advisable to use a rim with more holes or spokes, probably 36, and if if the weight of the bike is an isue then less spokes, 28 or 32. Basicly the more spokes the stronger the wheel. Hybrid cycles combine different features of mountain and road bikes to provide a multi purpose bicycle. Like mountain bikes they have a wide gear ratio and upright straight handlebars. They also share the narrow tyres, more suitable for riding on the road and often feature large road cycle wheels to make commuting less exhausting.
