Cyclocross Bikes

Cyclo Cross Bikes
Basically for road racing on the mud, theses bikes have drop handlebars, road gear systems, standard road wheels and frames that largely resemble normal road frames. However, the geometry differs with shorter top tubes, more upright positions and clearance for wider tyres and cantilever brakes. The cables often run along the top tube to avoid being caught when dismounting the bike and carrying it.

Advanced Lightweight Materials
These cycles can be made from aluminium, carbon or titanium and are designed to be more rugged then traditional road frames. Hugely popular in Belgium, the sport of Cyclo-cross pre-dates mountain biking and has been used as a great way to keep fit during the winter months when no road races are held. These bicycles are extremely hardy and many riders also choose to use them on the road as durable, long lasting training bikes.
